ImerjaMail protects your organisation from unwelcome communications and potentially damaging email borne threats
ImerjaMail is a service based on a mix of commercial and Open Source applications hosted in UK only data centres. The service is managed by Imerja Limited, providing a spectrum of important checks and tests to differentiate legitimate and safe email from unsolicited (spam) or dangerous communications. Features include:
- Scanning and blocking of viruses within email and email file attachments
- Detection and filtering of spam emails
- Scanning and blocking of spoofed emails
- Storage of emails if your system is temporarily unavailable
- Enforcement of file attachment policies
- Automatic insertion of disclaimers or other messages
Subscribers to the service have external email communications (i.e. to other domains), both in-bound and out-bound, routed through the ImerjaMail enforcement points prior to being forwarded to the recipient(s). The user experience of sending or receiving emails remains unchanged, apart from receiving daily messages of any emails that have been blocked and quarantined under the policy enforcement rules.
Emails that are judged to be spam, contain links to phishing sites or contain malware are put into quarantine. The recipient of intercepted messages receives a daily report containing a list of emails that have been deleted or quarantined within the last 24 hours.
The user and/or Administrator can then select if any of the individually blocked items should be released through a simple tick box request – however, if the content is identified as posing a direct threat (e.g. containing a virus or malware) the message will remain blocked. Since out-bound communications are also inspected it ensures emails sent from your organisation are legitimate and conform to policy set by the administrator with regards to disclaimers and file attachments, thereby protecting your reputation with customers, partners and suppliers.
